Tom Crean appears poised to return to coaching.
After spending the past season serving as a college basketball analyst for ESPN, reports have surfaced that Crean is finalizing a deal with the Georgia basketball program to become the next Bulldogs head coach.
Crean previously served as head coach at Indiana and Marquette.
ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski was first to report the news.

During his career as a head coach, Crean has a record of 356-231 which includes a Final Four appearance with Marquette and three Sweet 16 appearances at Indiana. Crean led Marquette to a Conference USA title and Indiana to two Big Ten regular season championships.
Last season, the Bulldogs went 18-15 before firing head coach Mark Fox.
The Bulldogs initially attempted to hire Thad Matta away from Ohio State, but he promptly turned down the offer which led the head coaching search in the direction of Crean.
