It’s a special day for the Ohio State football program, with members of the 2017 Buckeyes squad receiving their Gold Pants for the latest win over That Team Up North. Every year, Ohio State players are awarded a charm if they are able to beat the rival Michigan Wolverines.
It’s the sixth straight year that Ohio State has defeated the Wolverines, all coming under head coach Urban Meyer.
The Buckeyes took to social media to share a video highlighting the annual Gold Pants tradition.

This year, the Buckeyes received their Gold Pants from former Ohio State running back Keith Byars. Former Ohio State offensive lineman Jim Lachey, quarterback Mike Tomczak, tight end Greg Lashutka and safety William White were also present for the ceremony, according to Eleven Warriors.
Gold Pants have been awarded every year since 1934.
The charm features the score of the Ohio State-Michigan game on the back, while the front features the players’ initials and number. You can check out some of the photos players are sharing on social media below:
