The Nebraska football program is looking to spice up its look for the 2018 season. As part of their reboot, the Cornhuskers decided to bring some new cleats to their arsenal and, well, they are receiving some mixed reviews. The cleats, which are made by adidas, are an ugly green with gold stripes with money emojis as the pattern. At the edge of the shoestring, there is a golden dollar sign with wings.

Fans didn’t like them for a variety of reasons, including the bizarre choice to use money emojis when adidas is in the midst of an FBI investigation into corruption in college basketball recruiting, but another was because of the odd choice to stray from traditional school colors.
To Nebraska’s credit, though, they will have SOME cleats that feature the traditional school colors in 2018.
