When Croatia takes the field for the 2018 World Cup in Rusia, they will once again be sporting their iconic checkerboard design. However, this year, Nike has given Vatreni an updated look at the classic checker look. From the Nike release:
For an updated take on the famous checker design, the new home jersey has a pattern of large checkers covering the front panel. Sleeves and shoulders are red with a white back.
Sewn on federation badge. Embroidered swoosh.

When the 2018 FIFA World Cup officially kicks off next week, Croatia will be part of a group that features Argentina, Iceland, and Nigeria — so this may be the best overall group when it comes to simply ranking the kits in the tournament. Nigeria’s look was so well received that the gear sold out in just a matter of hours.
Croatia has made it out of the World Cup group stage just once — during the 1998 World Cup — and they will face another difficult road ahead.
The Blazers kickoff their campaign on Saturday, June 16 against Nigeria.
