College Sports News

MLB made a big statement during the 2018 MLB Draft. Oregon State standout Luke Heimlich, the Beavers’ ace, was not selected. Heimlich is a convicted child molester who admitted to molesting a six-year-old girl in his family when he was 15 years old. Heimlich then entered sex offender treatment and was forced to register as a Level 1 sex offender.

Now in his 11th NBA season, Golden State Warriors superstar Kevin Durant has emerged as one of the great players in the history of basketball. Beginning his career with the Seattle Supersonics after being selected second overall in the 2007 NBA draft, Durant has always been much discussed and debated. Now, as he eyes his second NBA championship and potentially his second Finals MVP award, his place in the basketball legendarium appears secure. Chef and television host Anthony Bourdain was found dead in a French hotel room at the age of 61 on Friday, June 8. According to reports, Bourdain committed suicide. Bourdain was found unresponsive by his close friend Eric Ripert, the French chef, in his hotel room Friday morning in France.
