Texas A&M Football: Ben Miles, Les Miles' Son, Transfers To Aggies

The Texas A&M football program has landed a recognizable name on the transfer market. Ben Miles, the son of former LSU Tigers head coach Les Miles, announced this weekend that he has decided to transfer to the Aggies from the Nebraska Cornhuskers.
Miles, who missed last season with a redshirt, will now have to sit out another season to satisfy NCAA transfer rules.
The fullback announced his decision on social media.
“Made it to Campus,” Miles tweeted after arriving in College Station. “I am really excited about my opportunity here [at Texas A&M]! Once again, thank you to the coaches that recruited me to Nebraska and invested in me for a year. This is my next step. I can’t wait to get started!”

There is a bit of a connection between Miles and new Texas A&M head coach Jimbo Fisher, who takes over after a lengthy stint with the Florida State Seminoles.
Previously, Fisher served as an offensive coordinator at LSU under Les Miles in 2005 and 2006. He then left LSU to become offensive coordinator at Florida State under Bobby Bowden before eventually taking over as head coach.
Now, Fisher will be tasked with the responsibility of continuing to develop his former boss’ son.
