College basketball fans have been waiting for an Armando Bacot recruiting update, and this weekend we finally got some fresh news. The five-star big man took to social media to announce he has trimmed his list of potential suitors to his final five. There are some mid-majors who made the list, but a handful of powerhouse programs that you would expect.
Bacot announced his final five schools in a post on social media.
The five schools remaining in the mix for the center out of his 37 total offers? The Duke Blue Devils, North Carolina Tar Heels, Oklahoma State Cowboys, Georgia Bulldogs, and VCU Rams.

According to the 247 Crystal Ball predictions, UNC is the favorite to land Bacot.
Bacot, a 6-foot-10, 240-pounder out of IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, is ranked as the fourth-overall prospect in the state of Florida. Bacot ranks as the No. 7 overall center in the Class of 2019 and the No. 26 overall recruit in the nation.
If Bacot is to join Roy Williams and the Tar Heels in Chapel Hill, he would be added to a recruiting class that already includes four-star point guard Jeremiah Francis.
