The Time Warner Center, which is home to the CNN New York offices, was evacuated live on-air on Wednesday, Oct. 24. The evacuation occurred after a fire alarm sounded. According to reports, there was a suspicion pipe bomb-like device found in the mailroom of the building.

the White House has condemned a string of intimidating tactics used with pipebombs addressed to the homes of George Soros, Bill and Hillary Clinton, and Barack Obama also being intercepted.

“These terrorizing acts are despicable, and anyone responsible will be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law,” White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders said in a statement Wednesday morning. “The United States Secret Service and other law enforcement agencies are investigating and will take all appropriate actions to protect anyone threatened by these cowards.”

The New York FBI reports neither of the packages addressed to the Obamas or Clintons made it to their intended address.

“Both packages were intercepted prior to being delivered to their intended location. The protectees did not receive the packages nor were they at risk of receiving them,” the agency said in a statement.

The Time Warner Center, however, had the package infiltrate the building and was subsequently evacuated as the New York Police Department and emergency officials shut down the block around the building.
