UGA Football Fans Petitioning To #BlackoutAuburn With Black Jerseys

The UGA football team is set to take on the Auburn Tigers Saturday, November 10 at Sanford Stadium in Athens. For the big game, fans of the No. 6-ranked Bulldogs are hoping that Georgia will be breaking out some special alternate uniforms in order to celebrate the occasion.
The Georgia faithful have taken to social media to start campaigning for the Bulldogs to wear their black alternate jerseys with the hashtag “#BlackoutAuburn.”
One fan wrote: “SEC East already won… Night game scheduled… Versus Auburn… With a ton of recruits in attendance… If ever there was a time for a blackout, next Saturday would be it. Just sayin’.”

It is the final night game of the regular season for the Bulldogs, and while they have not announced whether they will be wearing black jerseys, there was a tweet earlier this year that showed the black alternates are in their arsenal.

So could the time finally be here for the Bulldogs to break out the black jerseys? We will have to wait and see, but there has never been a more perfect time to take advantage of the special look than under the lights against a fierce rival.
