It’s Friday, December 14; we know you all are ready for the weekend. College life can be busy, so at times it can be tough to keep up with the daily news cycle. That’s why we bring you Campus Connect, where you can catch the latest news in college sports and entertainment to keep on top of the buzz that everyone on campus will be talking about.

College Sports News

When LaMelo Ball, a former five-star prospect in the Class of 2019, was pulled out of Chino Hills High School by his boisterous father LaVar, shipped overseas to play professional basketball and eventually became a member of his father’s JBA league, there were questions about what it would mean for his NCAA eligibility.

The UCF football program has been without star quarterback McKenzie Milton since he suffered a gruesome knee injury in UCF’s regular-season finale on November 23; a 38-10 win over South Florida. And while he will not be returning to action this season, he will be on the sidelines for the Knights’ Fiesta Bowl matchup against LSU on New Year’s Day.

COED Girl of the Day

Today, we feature Vanessa Torres, a student at Florida Atlantic University. Vanessa, whose ethnicity is a mix of Indian, Trinidadian, and Puerto Rican, is a model represented by Neon Model Management in Australia and Bali. She is also a frequent traveler.

Entertainment News

Zayn Malik, who rose to fame with the boy band One Direction and has since ventured off into a solo career as simply ZAYN, is set to release his second studio album titled “Icarus Falls” on Friday, December 14. The album is being released by RCA records with a whopping 27 tracks. Out of the 27 tracks, six were released as singles and there are only two features.

Florida rapper Kodak Black is set to drop his second studio album, titled “Dying To Live,” on Friday, December 14. The album is released through Atlantic Records and is the follow-up to his debut studio album “Painting Pictures.” But while this is only the second studio album for Kodak, he has remained busy. Earlier this year, the 21-year-old dropped the mixtape “Heart Break Kodak.”
