The college football season is in the books and the Clemson Tigers are your national champions for the second time in three years. While Clemson was delivering their shellacking of Nick Saban’s squad, Jeff Sherman of SuperBookUSA took to social media to drop the early national championship odds for the 2020 title game.
As you might expect, Clemson and Alabama are once again atop the list.
In fact, they are very heavy favorites.
Clemson will be the top dog heading into the upcoming season with 9/5 odds, while Alabama will sit at 5/2. Ohio State and Georgia are tied for third with 12/1 odds to bring home the trophy.
Considering the plethora of freshman and sophomore talent that we saw on the field in Santa Clara from Clemson and Alabama and the outstanding recruiting classes Ohio State and Georgia have compiled in recent years, it looks like we could once again be shaping up to see these four teams in the mix and a possible rematch in the national championship game.
