It’s Friday, February 15, luckily Valentine’s Day is over and we can get back to our regularly scheduled programming. College life can be busy, so at times it can be tough to keep up with the daily news cycle. That’s why we bring you Campus Connect, where you can catch the latest news in college sports and entertainment to keep on top of the buzz that everyone on campus will be talking about.

College Sports News

Rivals.com has been ranking high school talent since 1998 and is one of the most reputable recruiting sites. In its over 20 years of existence, Rivals.com has had very few problems when it comes to ranking recruits. The recruiting site does not have any problems ranking fake recruits as well.

The Florida Gators were one of the top defenses in 2018 last season, allowing only 339.1 yards and 20.4 points per game. The defense was led by future first-round pick Jachai Polite and the brilliant defensive mind of Todd Grantham. His work at Florida was so good that the Cincinnati Bengals wanted to hire him as their defensive coordinator.

Entertainment News

Cardi B and Bruno Mars are back together for a collaboration. Shortly after a brief retirement from social media, Cardi B returned to announce the collaboration earlier this week. On Friday, February 14, the new track “Please Me” dropped on all music streaming services.

Atlanta rapper T.I. is back in the headlines and this time it is over his long-standing feud with boxing star Floyd Mayweather Jr. The rapper is one of many who called for a boycott of the luxury brand Gucci after the company received backlash over a sweater that resembled blackface.
