College Sports News

Syracuse basketball coach Jim Boeheim hit and killed a pedestrian who was walking on the interstate highway on Wednesday, February 20, according to a report from The Post-Standard. The accident occurred following the Orange’s game against the Louisville Cardinals at the Carrier Dome.

Georgia Southern had one of its best years in program history, going 10-3 with a bowl game victory over Eastern Michigan. The Eagles were one of the nation’s top running teams in 2018, finishing seventh in the nation in rushing yards per game at 266.2 yards per game.

Today, we feature Hailey Christine, a student at the University of Tennessee. Hailey is an avid golfer who often showcases her skills on Instagram, where she has amassed more than 32,000 followers.

Entertainment News

On Thursday, February 21, Empire star Jussie Smollett turned himself into the Chicago Police Department on a felony charge for allegedly filing a false police report regarding his story of being the victim of a hate crime in Chicago where he claimed the attackers yelled racial and homophobic slurs.

United States Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y. has made plenty of headlines in her short time as a member of Congress, where she became the youngest woman ever elected after a stunning victory in her primary. On Thursday, February 22, she dropped by the season premiere of Showtime’s Desus & Mero to discuss her transition from the Bronx to Washington, D.C. and a number of other issues.
