Fox Sports Reveals New Star-Studded College Football Crew

Fox Sports is one of the top networks when it comes to covering sports events. With Gus Johnson as the lead play-by-play announcer and a bevy of solid color commentators, Fox Sports is quickly becoming one of the top places to watch college sports. Their pregame show coverage needed to be updated, which the network just did, according to FoxSports.com.

Fox Sports announced its new four-person panel for the pregame show, which reads like a who’s who of college football in the past 15 years. USC teammates Reggie Bush and Matt Leinart are on the panel, along with former Notre Dame quarterback Brady Quinn. All three players were selected in the first round of the NFL Draft and finished in the Top three on the Heisman Trophy ballot.

Bush and Leinart had a little more success in college than Quinn, but the Notre Dame quarterback still holds the school record for passing yards and touchdowns with 11,762 and 95, respectively. While Quinn was unable to win a national championship or Heisman Trophy like Bush and Leinart, he was one of the top quarterbacks in the college game during his time at Notre Dame.

The fourth member of the panel might be the most decorated member in former Florida and Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer. The three-time national championship winning coach retired from coaching after the end of the 2018 season. This is not Meyer’s first foray into television as he worked for ESPN as a color commentator during the 2011 season after he retired from the University of Florida in 2010.

His stay with ESPN was short-lived as he became the head coach of the Ohio State Buckeyes after the end of the 2011 season. Meyer brings a different perspective to the panel as he is the only coach on the panel. Rob Stone will host the new pregame show as he is Fox Sports’ top on-air host.

Leinart, Quinn, and Stone have all been working for Fox Sports for at least five years, while Bush and Meyer are new to the Fox Sports family. Fox Sports’ pregame show looks to be a success and the new panel will debut in the Fall of 2019.
