It is finally time. March Madness is set to come to an end on Monday, April 8, when the No. 1 seed Virginia Cavaliers take the court at U.S. Bank Arena in Minneapolis, Minnesota to take on the No. 3 seed Texas Tech Red Raiders in the 2019 NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament Final to determine who will earn the right to be called national champions.
Texas Tech punched its ticket to the NCAA Tournament Final after knocking off No. 2 Michigan State in the Final Four. They had earned their Final Four bid after a run through the West Region which included wins over No. 14 Northern Kentucky, No. 6 Buffalo, No. 2 Michigan, and No. 1 Gonzaga.
Virginia, meanwhile, knocked off No. 16 Gardner-Webb, No. 9 Oklahoma, No. 12 Oregon, and No. 3 Purdue in the South Region before taking down the surprising No. 5 Auburn Tigers in the Final Four.
