The sports – Game of Thrones crossover fans were out in full force on Sunday, May 12, thanks to two NBA Game 7 matchups leading into season 8, episode 5 of the HBO hit show and an alleged cameo from Green Bay Packers star quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
After the wild episode, which included absolute chaos and plenty of characters running for their lives, people were trying to identify where Rodgers’ cameo came.
Former NFL kicker Pat McAfee was the first to share what he thought was Rodgers’ appearance on the show.

But that actually doesn’t appear to be when the moment was.
Another suggested this could be the scene, but nope. That’s strike two.

Luckily, after the episode was done airing, a special video was shared that showed Rodgers discussing his cameo where he was “helping a woman who was injured, sat her down and then, the hell with her, I’m getting out of there.”
He also shared a photo in full costume on social media, giving fans another opportunity to locate him throughout the episode.
So, after some hard-hitting investigative work, it looks like Rodgers actually made his appearance during the tower scene that also included Arya Stark.
Because @bayburmTV and I take our #GameofThrones very seriously, we are pretty sure Aaron Rodgers was neither carrying a bow nor was he on fire. He was in the bell tower scene with Arya. Outfits match. Scenes match. GOOD. NIGHT. #GOT #content pic.twitter.com/E4g48xA3ZY

There you have it. Case closed.
We can all now rest easy until next Sunday night when the epic series reaches its conclusion. The final season of the HBO hit series will come to its end next Sunday, May 19, as the battle for the Iron Throne reaches its finale.
