The most heated rivalry in college basketball goes down tonight when the No. 20 Duke Blue Devils face the No. 5 North Carolina Tar Heels in Chapel Hill, and one UNC fan has chosen to make his feelings about Duke known via a witty customized t-shirt.
Of course, a picture of the shirt was posted to Twitter.
Best t-shirt we've seen today!😂👕 pic.twitter.com/kX12u4syjx

Now, though it may seem like an easy insult to the Blue Devils, let’s actually analyze this for a minute. Could it be a shot at Duke’s championship culture? After all, Duke are the defending national champions and have won five titles under Hall of Fame coach Mike Krzyzewski, so perhaps the insult is meant to paint Duke fans as ones who are so used to winning that they get upset when anything but a championship is achieved?
Or perhaps it’s a deeper-seeded insult. Keep in mind that while UNC is the laid back state university, Duke is a private college that attracts a wide range of students from all over the country. Gaining admission is a competitive process, so perhaps this Tar Heels fan is taking a shot at that?
Either way, it’s a great shirt and should be seen in full view tonight. Tip-off is slated for 9 p.m. ET on ESPN, so be sure to tune in and watch!
