One of the top prospects to take the field at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis for today’s day of workouts at the NFL Scouting Combine is Ohio State Buckeyes star Joey Bosa.
Bosa clocked an unofficial time of 4.89 which has generated some buzz in the scouting community.
After his 40-yard dash was complete, the NFL Network produced one of the always entertaining simulcast videos to show what Bosa running the 40-yard dash against some of the top defensive prospects in previous years — Jadeveon Clowney and J.J. Watt — looks like.
While Clowney blows everyone away in the race, Bosa holds his own against Watt.
Check it out.

And it's really not that close… #NFLCombine https://t.co/dbT30HewZ6— NFL (@NFL) February 28, 2016
Of course, it takes a lot more than speed to become a standout NFL player, but it does show that Bosa has enough athleticism to hang with the best at the next level.
Perhaps this 40-yard dash did enough to lock Bosa in as a top three pick.
