Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Martavis Bryant is facing a one-year suspension after testing positive for marijuana, according to Fox Sports’ Mike Garafolo.
Confirm on what @Dejan_Kovacevic reported: Steelers WR Martavis Bryant facing a one-year suspension, under appeal. Would be a huge loss.

A former fourth-round pick out of Clemson in 2014, Bryant was suspended for the first four games of last season for a violation of the NFL’s substance abuse policy. He came back to post 50 catches for 765 yards and six touchdowns and has 76 receptions for 1,314 yards and 14 scores in his short career.
But the prospect of Bryant’s career ending early is staring him clear in the face. This potential suspension is under appeal, but it’s clear that Bryant does indeed have a problem staying out of trouble and keeping his head screwed on straight. He has a great deal of talent and so much potential to be part of a Steelers receiving corps that could border on deadly, but only if he is able to stay on the field.
This story is still very much developing, but be sure to stay tuned to Campus Sports for any further updates on Martavis Bryant and his hopes of playing next season!
