The Oakland Raiders are still mulling a move to Las Vegas after their lease with the city of Oakland expires after the 2016 season, but some other NFL owners don’t seem too keen on the idea.
According to Bart Hubbuch of The New York Post, the owners, namely New York Giants owner John Mara, view Las Vegas as a “non-starter” because of the presence of casinos.

Granted, the NFL did send out a memo when the Raiders first explored a move to Las Vegas which highlighted talking points in favor of the move, and team owner Mark Davis recently met with Nevada governor Brian Sandoval to talk about the possibility of a new stadium being built should the Raiders move there.
But the reality of the matter is that if Davis does want to move the Raiders to Las Vegas, he’s going to need the approval of 24 NFL owners. Thus, given how much power and influence Mara has amongst that group, a move to Vegas is highly unlikely for the Raiders.
