LeBron James apologized to Tyronn Lue for recent behavior

Cleveland Cavaliers star forward LeBron James apologized to coach Tyronn Lue over his recent behavior, according to Joe Vardon of Cleveland.com.

James made headlines a few times recently, and not in the most positive of ways. When Cleveland took on the Miami Heat last Saturday night, James was seen chatting with friend and former teammate Dwyane Wade rather than warming up with his teammates at halftime.

More recently, a report from Bleacher Report quoted James as saying he wanted to play on the same team with Wade, Chris Paul and Carmelo Anthony before he retired from the game. Given how GM David Griffin made Lue Cleveland’s head coach after firing David Blatt in December because Lue would hold James more accountable, something had to be said.

Per Lue, everything is fine now that James has apologized.

“I just told him we can’t have that, being down like we were and him being the leader,” Lue said. “Just me being a competitor, I didn’t like it. We had a long talk about it. It was good. He understood, he apologized, and he’s been great.”

Hopefully, this is the last time (at least this season) that we hear any more negative press about LeBron James.
