Seth Russell dealing with strained pectoral

Baylor quarterback Seth Russell seems to be healing pretty well from his neck surgery he had last year as he has been working out with his team. However, he has been held out of practice the last few days due to a completely unrelated issue.

According to Craig Smoak of 1660 ESPN in Central Texas, Russell was held out of practice the last few days, including the team’s open practice on Saturday, due to a strained pectoral muscle.

Luckily, it isn’t related to the neck issue and shouldn’t hold him out very long.

Seth Russell was in line for a very good 2015 season as he threw for 2,105 yards and 29 touchdowns through seven games. He also rushed for 402 yards and six touchdowns, while leading the country in yards per attempt through the air.

He should be a big part of the Bears’ offense going into the 2016 season, especially if he is able to get fully recovered.
