Vince Young sued by woman over 2014 assault

Former Texas Longhorns and NFL quarterback Vince Young is being sued by a woman who claims that the former first-round pick physically assaulted her while he was intoxicated at one point in 2014. News of the lawsuit was broke by TMZ.

The woman, Tiffany Cayo, alleges in the suit that she and Young were on their way home from an NCAA Tournament road trip and were riding in the same car when Young pulled her hair violently. Cayo did not specify any of her injuries other than that, but said that she has lost wages and run up a lot of medical bills as a result of Young’s alleged assault.

In the suit, she is asking for $250,000.

Young was drafted third overall by the Tennessee Titans in the 2006 NFL Draft and showed prowess as a dual threat quarterback, but personal problems kept him from ever succeeding on a significant level despite winning a national championship with the Longhorns in 2005. On top of the Titans, he spent time with the Philadelphia Eagles, Buffalo Bills, Green Bay Packers and Cleveland Browns.
