Sharks are very cool animals. While they may be some of the most dangerous in the world, they are still pretty interesting and there is no questioning that the king of the sea, the Great White Shark, is one of the most incredible in the family.
One California surfer found out just how unpredictable sharks can be earlier this week. Drew Palumbo and Ben Slayback were surfing just off the coast and filming on GoPro cameras when the former caught an awesome sight: a Great White breaching out of the water about 100 yards in the distance.
I do think sharks are cool animals, but seeing something like that lets me know that it is time to get back to shore and stay away from the beach for a good while. As big as it looked in the distance, I would not want to stick around and find out how big it was up close.
However, as Palumbo put it, seeing a Great White Shark jumping out of the water while you are surfing is something that only happens once in a lifetime. Well, that is what you hope at least.
