This week, the city of Houston has been pounded by rain. This has caused major flooding throughout the city, and has left many without power, food, and shelter. Members of the University of Houston Football team took it upon themselves to step up and donate their own money to aid the victims in their time of need.
The team tweeted out this image of the players donating water to the local community center for distribution:

A total of 14 team members were a part of this program, including offensive lineman Na’Ty Rodgers, who was the leader of the effort. Marcus Oliver, Greg Ward, Keisland Smalls, Terry Mark, Cedric Edwards, Caeman Mayfield, Alex Myres, Isaiah Johnson, Byron Simpson, Tyler McCloskey, Alex Leslie, D’Juan Hines and Mac Long all contributed to the relief efforts in some form.

Last season, the Cougars were Peach Bowl Champions, and this offseason, they have been champions off the field as well.
