The Wisconsin Badgers have a good bit of transfers on their roster right now as many players have come in the play for the team in 2017. That has caused a riff in their recruiting spots for that season, but they certainly have just landed a great cornerback option in Hawaii defensive back Nick Nelson.
The Hawaii Rainbow Warriors haven’t had a lot to celebrate in recent years, but Nelson was one of their bright spots on the team the last two years. He will be joining the Badgers this summer as Benjamin Worgull of Scout.com reported and Nelson later confirmed.
BREAKING: Former Hawaii cornerback Nick Nelson tells me he's committed to Wisconsin. Will sit out 2016 and be eligible 2017 and 2018.

Nick Nelson had a great career for the Warriors, but his biggest contribution came last year. He recorded 53 tackles and led the Mountain West with 15 passes defended.
He recorded 11 tackles in the season opener against Colorado and then nine against, ironically, the Badgers later on in the year.
