2016 NBA Draft Combine to air on ESPN 2 on May 12-13

The 2016 NBA Draft Combine is coming to national television.

On Tuesday, the Worldwide Leader in Sports announced this year’s combine will air live on ESPN 2. The event, which takes place at the Quest Multisport Complex in Chicago, will air  from 3-7 p.m. ET, on Thursday, May 12 and Friday, May 13.

The 2016 NBA Draft Combine kicks off a busy draft season for ESPN.

Per the release, “Two-Time NBA All-Star Caron Butler (Sacramento Kings) will serve as a guest analyst for theESPN2 telecasts. He will join the main crew, led by Mark Jones, who will serve as both host and play-by-play commentator during this year’s coverage. Jones will be joined by a variety of ESPNbasketball analysts, including Jay Bilas (college basketball analyst), Jay Williams (college basketball analyst), Fran Fraschilla (college basketball analyst, International expert) and Tom Penn (NBA analyst, front office expert). Additionally, Andy Katz (ESPN.com senior writer) will serve as reporter and Brooke Weisbrod will serve as social media correspondent.”

Following the combine, ESPN will also air the 2016 NBA Draft Lottery presented by State Farm on May 17 and the 2016 NBA Draft on June 23. Coverage will also be available on the WatchESPN app.

NBA Draft Combine participants will compete in two 5-on-5 scrimmages, along with max vertical leap, no-step vertical leap, court sprint, shuttle drill, bench press and shooting drills.
