In the last days of April, Michigan Wolverines quarterback Alex Malzone was charged with the offenses of altering a license and disorderly conduct. Since, one of those charges have been dropped.
On Tuesday, Mark Snyder of the Detroit Free Press confirmed that altered license charge had been dismissed by the court.

From the report, “Online court records show that the charge was dismissed by the city attorney after an order of nolle prosequi was entered, essentially that the prosecutor won’t proceed with the charge. Malzone appeared for his arraignment/pretrial hearing with attorney Alexander Hermanowski of Student Legal Services, the record showed, and the dismissal closed the case.”
Malzone is still, of course, held responsible for the disorderly conduct charge. He received the charge as a result of blocking a street, which is classified as a nontraffic civil infraction. The redshirt freshman quarterback will be expected to pay a $175 fine for this offense.
