The Philadelphia Eagles are looking to do something big in the NFC this season, which is very apparent with they way they cleaned house and moved up to the second spot in the 2016 NFL Draft. They just made another big move by signing defensive tackle Fletcher Cox to a rather lucrative deal.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that Cox and the Eagles agreed to a six-year, $103 million deal with $63 million of it being guaranteed. That number is the highest guarantee for non-quarterback in NFL history.

Cox and the Eagles have been working on a deal for some time over the last few months and there was a chance he could go through the 2016 season without a new deal in place and possibly be franchise tagged in 2017. This would cause him to make a pretty low number, especially when compared to his new deal.
Fletcher Cox has slowly emerged as one of the better players for the Eagles over the last few years. The team used their first-round pick in the 2012 NFL Draft and he has worked out for them, recording 162 tackles, 22 sacks, five forced fumbles and six fumble recoveries during his career.
