2017 five-star offensive tackle Alex Leatherwood is already committed to play for the Alabama Crimson Tide. That isn’t keeping him from taking official visits elsewhere, but head coach Nick Saban doesn’t seem too worried about his commitment to the team.
Leatherwood recently spoke with ESPN about him taking official visits with USC and Michigan in the coming months. When he told Saban about his plans to still take his visits, he had the most Nick Saban answer ever.
“I told coach Saban about my official visits,” Leatherwood said. “He was like, ‘Have fun.’”
Oh, Coach Saban, you are so coy and I absolutely love it.
Leatherwood is the No. 5 tackle in the country and the No. 4 player in the state of Florida, so he would certainly help the Crimson Tide out in the coming years. Any other coach might be worried about their commit taking visits to other big programs across the state, but that just isn’t how Saban rolls.
