Earlier this week, former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey seemed to excite fans about her possible return when she appeared in a new ad from Reebok.
However, there is still no concrete evidence that the mixed martial arts star will return to the Octagon before the end of the year, if ever. But if she does choose to return to the UFC, company president Dana White says there will be a title shot waiting for her.
“Ronda’s going to make that decision,” White said following UFC 200 over the weekend, via FOX Sports. “I would like to see her fight this year, but it could be early next year, too.
“Whoever the champion is at the time is who Ronda will fight.”
That means whenever Rousey decides to return, she will be the No. 1 contender.
Watch out, Amanda Nunes.
