There was really no doubt LeBron James would be playing with the Cleveland Cavaliers for 2016-17 season, but there was doubt on when he would be signing a new contract with the team.
That doubt was erased on Thursday when he re-signed to play at least the next two years in Cleveland.

ESPN’s Brian Windhorst reported that James had signed a contract for three years and worth $100 million. He has a player option after the 2017-18 season and can opt out to re-sign.

James helped lead the Cavaliers to their first ever NBA championship last season as they came back from being down 3-1 in the NBA Finals to snuff the Golden State Warriors’ attempt at a second straight trophy. He won the Finals MVP trophy for the third time in his career.
During the 2015-16 season, LeBron James averaged 25.3 points, 7.4 rebounds and 6.8 assist per game.
