The Ultimate Fighting Championship heads to New York for the very first time on Nov. 12 with UFC 205, and the promotion is looking to put on a blockbuster show.
As fight announcements for the pay-per-view event begin to come out, it has been learned that an epic match up between Donald Cerrone and former welterweight champion Robbie Lawler is set to go down on the main card.
UFC president Dana White confirmed the news to Cleveland radio host Anthony Lima on Wednesday.
UFC News: @danawhite just told me the papers are signed off on a Robbie Lawler vs. Donald Cerrone match for #UFC205 card at MSG in NYC.

Talk about a thriller.
The fight, which will take place at Madison Square Garden, is set to go down at welterweight.
It’s important to note that Lawler vs. Cerrone is not being tabbed as the main or co-main event, which means UFC 205 is set to be one of the greatest fight cards the company has ever put together.
Other rumored bouts for UFC 205 are former middleweight champion Chris Weidman vs. Yoel Romero and lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez vs. featherweight title holder Conor McGregor. It’s safe to say that UFC 205 is going to be a memorable one for mixed martial arts fans.
