The Jacksonville Jaguars signed former New Orleans Saints and New York Jets running back Chris Ivory to a big free agent deal earlier this year. They hope he is going to give them a big boost this season, but he was out for the season opener against the Green Bay Packers last Sunday.
He was admitted into the hospital Sunday morning with what was described as a non-football injury. He was released from the hospital on Tuesday, but his status for their game on Sunday against the San Diego Chargers in California.
Update: #Jaguars RB Chris Ivory has been released from hospital, doing well. No timetable set for return. Status still in question for Sun.

Ivory is coming off a big 1,070-yard season, the first of his seven-year career, with the Jets last year. He scored seven touchdowns while recording a career-high 217 yards on 30 receptions.
It will be interesting to see if Ivory takes the field this week for the Jaguars or if T.J. Yeldon will get the bulk of the carries again after he rushed for 39 yards and a touchdown against the Packers.
