The Texas Longhorns will be without starting offensive guard Kent Perkins this weekend, after he was charged with drive while intoxicated on Friday.
It was reported by Mike Finger of the San Antonio Express-News that Perkins had been suspended for Saturday’s game against Oklahoma State Cowboys for his arrest.
Finger reported that Perkins will also have to go through counseling and community service.

Head coach Charlie Strong had a pretty unique message to the players that are of legal drinking age when it comes to consuming alcohol, as reported by Brian Davis of the Austin American-Statesman.
Strong on his message about drinking to players: "Drink the first one, sip the second one and let the third one go."

Perkins has started two of the Longhorns’ three games this year as he missed the season opener due to an injury. He is a part of the offensive line that has led Texas to over 700 yards on the ground in just three games this season.
The Longhorns take the field against the Cowboys in Stillwater on Saturday, Oct. 1 at 12 noon EST on ABC.
