There is some bad news for the Texas Longhorns.
After being evaluated for a head injury, the Longhorns announced star linebacker Malik Jefferson will not be able to return to the game, delivering a big blow to the team’s chances at upsetting the No. 11 West Virginia Mountaineers at Darrell K. Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium.

Texas currently trails West Virginia, 17-13, at the half.
It could be an uphill battle for the Longhorns in the second half without their star defender, who has 17 tackles and 2.5 sacks this season, but the team is within striking distance so we will have to see if they can bounce back and come from behind for a third straight victory.
