Bob Stoops can’t face the music.
After video of Oklahoma star running back Joe Mixon viciously striking a woman in the face during an incident in 2014 surfaced on Friday, plenty of criticism was directed at the Sooners head coach for his light punishment despite such an indefensible act.
Stoops saw the video of Mixon striking the woman, before determining simply giving the rusher a redshirt season was adequate punishment.
Everyone who saw the video was disgusted and disturbed by the violence displayed, so they voiced their frustrations.
It immediately became clear that Stoops was not ready to defend his decision.
If anyone takes to Twitter to criticize the Oklahoma head coach or attempts to ask him how he could justify such a weak punishment, he simply hits the block button.
Users blocked by Stoops are quickly beginning to add up.

Stoops isn’t the only one who should face the flurry of deserved criticism for allowing Mixon to remain on the team. OU athletic director Joe Castiglione also saw the video, so there are plenty of questions to be answered.
This is something that isn’t going to go away, so Stoops and Castiglione better be working on a public statement, because they can’t block everything out forever.
It’s time for some accountability, because that has clearly been lacking at Oklahoma in recent years.
