College Bowl season is upon us. Or rather, we’ll know when it’s upon us. Today, the entire bowl schedule for the 2017 college football season was released. Now you’ll have something to help visualize where you want your team to be at the end of the season.
All of the games on the schedule will be covered by ABC or ESPN. A few of the games land on ESPN2 due to scheduling conflicts, but it appears the worldwide leader in sports will be covering the bulk of the action. Hopefully they have enough people on their staff to cover all of those games.
Starting as early as Dec. 16, the bowl season will run its usual course, culminating in a National Championship game on Jan.8, 2018. The final two College Football Playoff games will be played on New Years Day at 5 p.m. ET, and 8:45 pm EST.
The games will be the Rose Bowl and the Sugar Bowl, respectively. Currently, no bowl games are scheduled to take place on Christmas Day. Well, now all the teams know what date they are striving to play on.
For many programs, anything short of a Jan. 8 football game is considered a failure. Alabama is again expected to a be a juggernaut this season, and barring a string of injuries, should be able to assert itself on its way to the top.
Both Michigan and Ohio State will be looking to make the playoff out of the Big Ten.
