The Ultimate Fighting Championship’s return to Japan on Friday night for UFC Fight Night 117 delivered in a big way.
Leading up to the main event, we got to witness the highly-anticipated debut of kickboxing star Gokhan Saki, who delivered in a big way with a one-punch knockout of Henrique da Silva in the very first round. Saki showed off his terrifying power that will be a threat to anyone he faces inside of the Octagon.
In the co-main event, Jessica Andrade and Claudia Gadelha put on an incredible show in a bloody, three-round way.
Then, to cap off the night, Ovince Saint Preux once again went deep into his bag of tricks to choke Yushin Okami out could with another Von Flue choke. It was the third Von Flue choke finish in Saint Preux’s UFC career and just the fifth overall in the promotion’s history.
