Ex-WFAN Host Craig Carton Reportedly 'In Talks' To Join Barstool Sports

Former WFAN radio host Craig Carton, who found himself caught up with fraud charges in September which led to his departure from Boomer & Carton with former NFL quarterback Boomer Esiason, is looking to get back in the mainstream.
After relaunching his own podcast “Hello My Name Is Craig,” reports have surfaced that Carton could be moving his podcast to a bigger platform.
According to Sporting News, Carton is in discussion to join Barstool Sports.
From the report:

Former WFAN morning radio host Craig Carton is looking to join Barstool Sports, sources tell Sporting News.
Carton has been in talks with fast-growing Barstool, one source said. This fall, he resigned from his New York morning radio show with Boomer Esiason after being arrested Sep. 6 and charged with helping coordinate a $5.6 million Ponzi scheme.

It’s a natural fit.
Carton is still interested in getting his voice out there while maintaining his innocence, while Barstool is about as controversial of a media outlet as you can get. For them, hiring Carton would be no issue.
Neither side has officially commented on the reports, but it definitely seems like a match made in heaven if it does come to fruition.
