An alleged stabbing occurred in an apartment building outside of the University of Washington campus. According to FOX Seattle, the bodies of two women were found on Tuesday, Sept. 4 after a welfare check was conducted by building managers. The incident took place inside of The Malloy Apartments, a building mostly occupied by University of Washington students.
The King County Medical Examiner is working to identify the women who were killed in the attack.
“Seattle police are investigating after two women were found deceased Tuesday morning in a University District apartment building. Around 9:30 AM, officers responded to an apartment building in the 4300 block of 15th Avenue NE after building managers conducted a welfare check at a unit in the building and found a seriously injured woman inside. Officers entered the apartment and found two women, both of whom were deceased,” a press release from the Seattle Police Department stated.
“Homicide investigators are on scene and actively working to determine the circumstances of this case, and whether there are any outstanding individuals involved in this incident.”

Classes at the University of Washington do not begin until Sept. 26.
