UNC is no longer just a basketball school, as I am sure you are well aware
Since the moment Coach Fedora came to Chapel Hill several years ago. his goal has been to turn around the culture of the program, and to remove themselves from the turmoil left by the previous staff. Fedora has successfully transformed UNC into something of a football factory with 21 players selected in the NFL draft in the past 4 years. This, along with the significant rise in rival program Duke has created a need to recruit better.
Enter the commitment of 3-Star OT Jay Jay McCargo, who plays for Bishop O’Connell HS in Arlington, VA, and he committed to the Tar Heels over several other offers, here are five that stand out:
- Alabama
- Auburn
- Clemson
- Penn State
- Miami

For UNC to be able to continue winning recruiting battles the way they have the past few seasons, it is only a matter of time before the results will transfer onto the field.
UNC now has 5 commitments for the 2016 Class, and if they are able to show progress on the field, expect them to complete the goal of another top 30 class for the 2016 cycle.
