Fifth-year transfer Jermaine Ruttley has de-committed from Louisiana Tech and will re-open his recruitment, according to ESPN’s Jeff Goodman.
Playing for the Florida A&M Rattlers last season, the 6’3″, 200 pound Ruttley averaged a team-best 17.4 points and 6.7 rebounds per game.
The team may have gone 2-27 and finished dead last in the MEAC, but Ruttley still managed to stand out enough that the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs wanted him and he was happy to commit to the program as a transfer.

Now, it appears that he will be playing elsewhere. This news comes on the heels of coach Michael White leaving Louisiana Tech to coach the Florida Gators, so perhaps he was the primary reason that Ruttley chose the Bulldogs. Either way, Ruttley is once again one of the most under-the-radar transfers available right now, so whichever school snags him could become better within the blink of an eye.
