Rutgers Scarlet Knights redshirt freshman defensive back Darian Dailey is in trouble with the law. According to a report from the Sarasota Herald Tribune, the 19-year-old Dailey was arrested along with 20-year-old Trazelle Johnson for armed robbert.
Both men are being held on $150,000 bond.
According to the report, Dailey and Johnson stuck up a man on a bicycle with guns. After demanding money, both men fled in a vehicle.
The victim was unharmed.
Rutgers coach Kyle Flood issued a statement on the incident involving Dailey simply saying, the “facts are gathered” and Rutgers “will take the appropriate action.”
After spring ball, Dailey was listed as a starter at cornerback. His loss would be a big one for the defensive backfield.
