Ethan Tucky, a four-star linebacker from Rutherford B. Hayes High School near Columbus, has committed to Boston College. A member of the Class of 2016, Tucky made the announcement on his personal Twitter page.

Tucky is currently ranked 30th among outside linebackers on 247 Sports and also received offers from Buffalo, Eastern Michigan, Kentucky, Miami (Ohio) and Northwestern. A great number of schools including Illinois, Notre Dame, Ohio State and Wisconsin had also shown interest in him.
He still has a year of school left, but Tucky already has solid size at 6-foot-2, 210 pounds.
Once he fills out some more, he has everything it takes to be an excellent addition to the Eagles’ defense. ESPN calls him a “disruptive run stopper” and can’t find enough good things to say about his motor. Just what his role will be once he arrives in Chestnut Hill remains to be seen, but it’s no secret that Tucky could easily follow in the footsteps of former Eagle and fellow Ohioan Luke Kuechly and make enough noise to draw the attention of NFL scouts.
Boston College is about to enter its third season under head coach Steve Addazio and opens the 2015 campaign at home against Maine on September 5.
