Ever since Dave Leitao returned to coach at DePaul University, he has been nothing but positive for the Blue Demons’ program. He and the team have turned their focus on the Chicago Public High School League and the team has landed two big pickups for the team in the next two seasons.
One of those players is three-star point guard Devin Gage, who has committed to DePaul for the 2016 season.
Gage comes from Curie High School, one of the best schools in Chicago, and is the first commit for the Blue Demons for next season. His Twitter profile, which is laden with a DePaul background, confirms his decision.
Can't lie; love how @_dgage Twitter profile looks. pic.twitter.com/HuGKGZDrtN

This is the second Chicago player to commit to the Blue Demons this month after they picked up forward Frederick Scott from Simeon, another terrific basketball school, for the 2015 season. These two big pickups will certainly help the Blue Demons in the coming years.
DePaul has not been back to the NCAA Tournament since 2004 when Leitao was last coaching for the University. Leitao enters into his fourth season with DePaul this November, but it is his first season coaching since the 2008-09 season with Virginia. He looks to turn the Blue Demons around after they went just 12-20 last season.
