Ah, summer. It is the time of year where all the kids are out of school and dads like to take their boys out to the lake or river to do some good, relaxing fishing. That day of relaxation can quickly turn on its head when your son hooks a monster fish and you have to do everything you can to keep him from getting snatched out of the boat.
BroBible shared a video of a young boy and his dad fishing on the Fraser River when the kid hooked a giant White Sturgeon.
The fish almost looks fake, but I can tell you that it isn’t and it’s incredible.
The kid is nine-year-old Kegan Rothman and he snatched the huge fish on the Fraser River in Chilliwack, Canada this weekend. Of course, his dad Dan and guide Ben Trainer gave (a lot of) help to the kid reeling the monster in, but it still took the three almost two hours to pull him in.
“I thought the fish was going to pull me into the water,” Kegan said. “It is the most excitement I’ve ever had with a fish. It was so hard to hold on to the rod.”
I can only imagine hard difficult it was to pull the fish it, considering the biggest fish I have ever caught was maybe ten pounds, way less than 600. It is amazing that they were even able to pull in the beast. Kegan is only four feet tall and eighty pounds. The fish was nine-foot-five and had a fifty-inch girth.
Incredible.
