Meyer reveals when he knew Braxton Miller would return

There wasn’t anyone who officially knew that Braxton Miller would return to Ohio State for his senior season until yesterday’s announcement. Well, almost anyone. The two-time Big Ten Silver Football winner stated the news  yesterday in a story with the Columbus Dispatch.

Urban Meyer though, knew that since January.

Every coach would like to think they have a close relationship with current and former players. To be honest, none seem to have that type of bond that Meyer has developed with his team.

Miller would have been immediately eligible to play had he decided to transfer to another school because he graduated with his degree in the Spring. There were reports of a number of teams ready to accept him with open arms. However, in the end, his passion for Buckeye nation was too strong.

This news should not have been surprising to us at all. Urban was aware of his star quarterbacks intentions, and while we as college fans were wondering what if, Urban was sitting peacefully with not a worry in sight.

I am sure, somewhere in Ohio there is a shirt being made that simply says Urban knows best.
