Class of 2015 four-star running back Jordan Stevenson, after being denied enrollment at Wisconsin, has committed to the Nebraska Cornhuskers. Stevenson made the announcement on his personal Twitter page.

Formerly a star at South Oak Cliff High, near Dallas, Stevenson was denied enrollment at Wisconsin for academic reasons, though he met the NCAA standards for enrollment. He will be in Nebraska tomorrow to join his new team and will be immediately eligible to play, as Wisconsin released him from his Letter of Intent. He had also received offers from Alabama, Texas, Ohio State and Louisville while also making an official visit to Miami earlier this week.
He joins a Nebraska team that could use some help in the running game, as leading rusher Ameer Abdullah was selected by the Detroit Lions in the second round of this year’s NFL Draft. If he can learn the offense quickly and get himself into game shape, he could become an immediate contributor.
The Cornhuskers open the season at home against the BYU Cougars on September 5.
