The future of Florida State Seminoles running back Dalvin Cook, who was suspended after being accused of striking a woman in the face outside of a bar earlier this year, is uncertain. Cook is currently waiting for his arraignment on September 2, so until then he will not know where he stands with the program.
That uncertainty about Cook’s future lead to a very awkward moment on Sunday.
As the Seminoles came out for their 2015 team photo, they decided to take two separate pictures — one with Cook and one without.
It was a very bizarre moment, as detailed by Tim Reynolds.
UPDATE: About 10 minutes after all the other FSU players were seated, Dalvin Cook emerged and joined them.

And now Dalvin Cook leaves for the other photo. Surreal.

It definitely has to create an awkward vibe around the team, but the show must go on.
With or without Dalvin Cook, the Seminoles will begin their 2015 campaign at home on Sept. 5 against Texas State.
